April 20th, 2013 - Howard Moore Competes with ASCS Gulf South Region
The team made the trek to Waco, Texas on Friday night for a $2,500-to-win event with the American Sprint Car Series Griffith Truck & Equipment Gulf South Region. A stellar field of 41 entries were on hand for the event, and Howard started his night by initially recording a second place finish in his heat race. However, in post race inspection the heat winner was disqualified so Howard was promoted to the heat race win, which locked himinto the redraw for the feature. In the redraw he was the recipient of the third starting spot for the 25 lap feature.

The team had night hopes for the main event, but unfortunately Moore lost his brakes early in the feature as he faded to a thirteenth place finish at the checkered flag.

American Sprint Car Series Griffith Trucking & Equipment Gulf South Region action took Howard Moore to Gator Motorplex (Willis, Texas) on Saturday night for the 2nd Annual Nolan Wren Memorial.

Another talented field of thirty-seven Sprint Cars registered for battle, and heat race action found Howard racing to as high as the fourth position before recording a fifth place finish at the line. When Moore returned to the pit area after his heat race the team discovered a hole in the radiator, and with no spare radiator in their trailer the team initially planned to scratch from the balance of the program. However, fellow competitor, Cole Wood, and his crew stepped up to the plate and not only did they provide a spare radiator, but they also thrashed to get it installed in time for Howard to run the b-main. In the b-main Howard went on to race to a transfer spot to the main event in the nineteenth starting spot. In the main event even though Howard was only able to manage a seventeenth place finish it was a great outing as he gained more seat time and was able to put the car in the hauler in one piece. Howard also received a new front axle for being the highest finishing J&J Chassis in the b-main.

After watching rain claim the win in several events Howard Moore was finally able to return to action in his #23 Dynamic Electric J&J Sprint Car at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) as the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) rolled into town.

A talented field of thirty-nine entries took to the 1/4 mile oval, which was left heavy and rough from persistent rains throughout the week. A big number at the pill draw left Howard starting eighth in the first heat race, and a missed setup on the car saw him only managing a seventh place finish, which pinned him deep in a b-main.

With the top three finishers transferring to the feature from the b-main, Moore started eighth on the grid, and progressively worked his way through the field. He race his way into the fourth spot, but would be unable to crack a transfer spot as his night came to an early end. Full results are available at
