A strong field of 36 Sprint Cars entered the program, and a fourth to second run in his heat race locked Moore into the eighth starting spot for the finale.

In the main event Howard worked his way forward a few spots early in the event before a broken shock late in the event caused him to settle into an eighth place finish in the final rundown.

June 15th, 2013 - Howard Moore Has Busy Weekend in Missouri and Arkansas
Moore Motorsports had a busy weekend as they competed in both Missouri and Arkansas with their #23 Stinson Industrial/Dynamic Electric Maxim Sprint Car.

On Friday evening Howard entered his first-ever event at Benton Raceway Park (Benton, Missouri) as the team looked to work on their setup. For all practical reasons Moore went into battle in a gun fight with a knife as he took his 360 c.i. motor up against a field of 410 c.i. racers. With eleven cars in the pit area Howard earned the eighth starting spot for the feature via preliminary action before finishing in the tenth position.

Saturday night found the team pitted at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) in a Weekly Racing Series Event that drew twenty-two entries to the famed oval. A fifth to third run in his heat race positioned Howard starting sixth in the feature. Early in the feature Moore was running in the top five, when he wheel-hopped the third place runner, Brad Bowden, as Bowden encountered engine woes. Howard would narrowly avoid a hard-ride, as he landed hard on the left-rear, somehow managing not to flop. The accident packed the left-rear with mud, and Moore thought he had a flat so he headed pitside with what he thought was a flat tire. He was able to rejoin the tail of the field and rocketed back to a strong eighth place finish at the checkered flag.

June 8th, 2013 - Howard Moore Competes at I-30 Speedway
1After a one week break the team resumed the 2013 season on Saturday night with a trip to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) for a Weekly Racing Series Event.

A strong field of twenty-seven entries registered for battle, and via preliminary action Howard locked his #23 Stinson Industrial/Maxim Sprint Car into the fifteenth starting spot for the evening's finale. In the feature the team battled the setup once again as Moore was only able to register a sixteenth place finish in the final rundown.
