May 17th, 2014 - Moore's Night Ended Early by Melee at Crowley's Ridge
Howard was originally slated to pilot his #40 Stinson Industrial/Maxim Sprint Car in the annual Hooker Hood Classic at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) on Saturday night, but Mother Nature had other ideas as rain forced the postponement of the program.

As a result Crowley's Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas) scheduled a last minute Sprint Car event. A unique format was held as drivers drew for both their starting spot for their heat and feature. He won his heat race from the front row, but started ninth on the grid for the feature. Unfortunately bad luck found him in the first corner of the first lap, when a car spun in from of him leaving Howard with nowhere to go. He was collected in the accident and received heavy damage to his front end as his night came to an early end.
