September 26th, 2015 - Howard Moore Competes in Hockett/McMillin Memorial
1The team made the trek to Missouri over the weekend to compete in the 5th Annual Jesse Hockett/ Daniel McMillin Memorial at Lucas Oil Speedway with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS).

On Friday evening a stellar field of fifty-one competitors converged on the state-of-the-art oval. An 8th to 5th run in his heat race left Howard short of locking into the finale. As a result he was forced to run a b-main, where he failed to reach a transfer spot. The team looked for better luck on Saturday evening.

Saturday night found fifty-one entries returning for battle once again, and Howard had high hopes after drawing the pole starting spot for his heat race. Unfortunately he battled the setup as he slid backwards. As a result he started 9th in the b-main before finishing 7th as his night and weekend ended early.

A strong field of twenty-eight entries took part in the event. Howard's night started on a strong note as he won his heat race from the 2nd starting spot to earn a spot in the Stealth Towing & Recovery Dash. He received the 4th starting spot for the dash before recording a 6th place finish, which left him starting 6th in the finale.

In the main event Moore would encounter troubles. After trying multiple laps to make a pass for the 5th position, Howard was making the pass, when he was intentionally spun. Disappointed, Moore tagged the back of the back before rebounding to a 9th place finish.

Heat race action found Howard finishing 2nd after starting on the pole. As a result he started 9th on the feature grid. He was running in the top ten in the finale, when he made contact with an infield yuke tire, which brought his outing to an early end in the 11th position.

"We had a great night with family, friends and fans. It was good to see the Coffman family (Mr. Mark, Mrs. Crystal and Chloe) from Missouri that I had met at Short Track Nationals a few years back. I am grateful to each and every one of them. I am looking forward to doing it again next week. I also would like to thank to Daddy, Momma and Christie, Mr Ricky Holder, Senter Farms, Engler Machine and Tool, Ronnies Hot Rods, Spankys Hot Rods, Rockhard Powder Coating, MSR Mafia, Momentum Racing Suspensions, Hinchman Racewear, DGS Motorsports, Robert Brown, Mr Roy Young, Mr. David Berryman and Lawn Jox for all they do for me each week to keep me on the track. I am truly grateful for so many people that contribute. I couldn't do what I love without each and every one of you."
