July 30, 2016 - Howard Moore Makes 410 Sprint Car Debut
1Howard Moore made his 410 c.i. Sprint Car debut on Friday night with a trip to St. Francois County Raceway (Farmington, Missouri) to take part in the $2,500-to-win affair, which was held as part of the 143rd St. Francois County Fair.

After enjoying a productive hot lap session in his first-ever venture to the facility, Howard advanced from the 5th-starting spot in his heat race to a 3rd-place finish. His heat performance earned him a spot in the dash.

He would ultimatley finish 3rd in the dash, which locked him into the 3rd-starting spot for the main event. He was running in a podium spot for the first half of the feature before jumping the cushion, which knocked out his front end. The damage was enough to end his night, but it didn't prevent Moore from having a great time.

On Saturday evening he was slated to race at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas), but Mother Nature had other plans and washed the program away.

1Howard Moore traveled to Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Arkansas) on Friday evening to compete in the ASCS Red River Region event at the 1/4-mile oval.

A 6th to 3rd run in his heat race resulted in Howard being the high-points earner. Unfortunately the redraw left him pulling a seven, so that positioned him starting 7th on the grid for the 25-lap finale. Moore clawed his way forward to a 5th-place finish behind race winner, Ray Allen Kulhanek, Tim Crawley, Kevin Ramey, and Dustin Gates.

July 9, 2016 - Lucas Oil ASCS Speedweek Continues for Howard Moore
1After a two-week break Howard returned to action at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Saturday night in a $3,000-to-win event at the 1/4-mile oval.

With 23 entries registered for competition, Howard advanced from the 8th-starting spot to a 4th-place finish. Via passing points he earned a spot in the dash. He finished 2nd in the dash, which initially positioned him starting 2nd in the feature. However, the pole sitter, Tim Crawley elected to start 10th to be eligible for a bonus. As a result this moved Howard up to the pole position.

Moore was excited about his chances for the feature, but bad luck would bite in the first corner of the first lap, when he hit a rut, which broke the left-raer, shock stud. Due to the damage he spun and collected several other cars. He was uninjured but done for the night.
