November 12, 2016 - It's a Flip/Flop Kind of Weekend for Howard Moore
1Howard Moore entered his final event of the 2016 season over the weekend with a short trip to Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) to compete in the annual Flip/Flop 50.

On Friday night the United Sprint Car Series (USCS) sanctioned event came to life with preliminary action. Howard started his night by winning the K&N Filters Power Dash, but heat race action left him just short of locking into the feature.

As a result Saturday night began with Howard advancing from the 8th-starting spot in his B-Main to a 4th-place finish. This gave him the 18th-starting spot for the first, 25-lap feature. He would advance to an 8th-place finish in the first feature, which resulted in him starting 16th in the second feature.

Howard bagged a 12th-place finish in the second feature.

"We had a great 2016 season," said Moore. "Huge thanks to God, Daddy, Momma and Christie, Mr Ricky Holder for always being there to help me, Senter Farms, Engler Machine and Tool, SPEC Racing Engines, Ronnies Hot Rods, Spankys Hot Rods, Rockhard Powder Coating, MSR Mafia, Momentum Racing Suspensions, Hinchman Racewear, my friends, KDN Promotions, Ethan Barrow and DGS Motorsports for all they do for me each week to keep me on the track. I couldn't do what I love without each and every one of you."

Sixty-two entries took part in the event, and via preliminary action Howard earned the 16th-starting spot for the finale. Atop a very racy surface Howard advanced to a 13th-place finish in the 25-lapper.

Friday night found the second round of preliminary action behing held for the event. Howard's luck would not be quite as good as the previous night. He battled the handle throughout the night before seeing his outing come to an end with a 6th-place finish in the B-Main.

The finale of the three-night affair was held on Saturday night in front of a capacity crowd at the 1/4-mile oval. Howard started the night with a 4th-place finish in his showdown qualifier, which left him short of locking into the feature. As a result he was relegated to the B-Main and with a 5th place finish came up one spot short of transferring to the finale as his weekend came to an early end.
