October 8, 2016 - Top-10 Finish for Howard Moore at Hammer Hill
1A Weekly Racing Series Event brought Howard Moore to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Saturday, where he went into battle against a field of 19 entries.

After advancing from the 8th-starting spot to a 6th-place finish Howard locked into the 10th-starting spot on the feature grid.

The first lap of the feature found Moore jumping the cushion and sailing out of turn 1. Luckily he landed on all four tires and was able to restart on the tail of the field. He would go on to battle his way back to an 8th-place finish.

" I feel like my car was definitely better than that but it took me a bit to get back to where I was after the slip-up on the first lap.," noted Moore. "I also want to thank the folks at SPEC engines for working hard to get our new power plant ready. This is a really stout piece, and I can't wait to see what we can do with it."

October 1, 2016 - Howard Moore Enters the Queen's Royal
1Howard Moore returned to St. Francois County Raceway (Farmington, Missouri) on Friday evening to compete in the opening round of the annual Queen's Royal.

The National Sprint League (NSL) sanctioned event played host to a talent-laden field of 37 entries. Moore found himself behind the eight ball early in the night after struggling in qualifications.

He battled throughout the night to rebound but was only able to manage a 5th-place finish in his b-main, which left him three spots short of a transfer to the feature as his night came to an early end.

Saturday night found Howard getting to a much faster start to the night as he qualified 3rd fastest in the field of 38 NSL Sprinters. With an invert of six in place for heat race action he started sixth in the third heat race before advancing to a 4th-place finish.

Via his heat race finish he locked into the 3rd-starting spot for the finale. The main event saw Howard battling handling issues from the drop of the green flag. Howard slipped back to the 10th spot before another competitor made contact, causing Moore to spin. With an ill-handling car he retired to a 19th-place finish.
