1Howard Moore made the short trip to Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) on Thursday night to take part in a Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) event.

Thirty-one drivers took part in the event, and a 2nd-place finish in his heat race locked Howard into the 13th-starting spot for the feature in his Dynamic Electric #40 Stinson's Industrial Maxim Sprint Car.

August 19, 2017 - Howard Moore Makes Wingless 360 Debut
1Howard Moore went into battle with the USAC Southwest Wingless Sprint Cars on Wednesday night at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas).

It marked the first time he ever competed in a Wingless 360 Sprint Car.

Twenty-three Sprint Cars took part in the event, and after finishing 4th in his heat race Howard locked into the 13th-starting spot for the finale.

Early in the feature Howard had raced his ay up to the 7th- position, when the caution flew on lap-14.

Howard continued his march forward and was up to the sixth position, when the leader spun with two laps remaining. Unfortunately the ensuing restart saw Howard get into the corner too hard as he made contact with Danny Smith. The result was the end of the night for both drivers. Moore was credited with a 16th-place finish.

"It’s just a bad feeling taking someone out because of a mistake," Howard said. I was bummed to say the least. All in all, it was a good night it just wasn’t a finish that I thought reflected my run for the night. I sure hate my Dad had to work out of town and missed it."

Saturday night took the team St. Francois County Raceway (Farmington, Missouri) to compete in the 410-Winged Sprint Car division. The night started on a strong note with Howard charging from the 7th-starting spot to a runner-up finish.

His heat-race performance sent him to the dash, where he finished fifth, which locked him into the fifth starting spot for the feature. Early in the finale he was up to the 3rd spot, when he tangled on a restart. He would tag the back of the field before ultimately registering a 16th-place finish.

August 5, 2017 - Howard Moore Competes in ASCS 360 Nationals
1Howard Moore returned to competition with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) over the weekend as he took part in the 27th annual Arnold Supply Knoxville 360 Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank.

More than 90 of the nation's best Sprint Car pilots took part in the program, and Howard's qualifying night was on Friday evening.

With 47 entries in action, Howard struggled in qualifying, which left him starting deep in a heat race grid. He would advance from 9th to 6th in his heat race. As a result he started 17th in the B-Main.

Moore passed five cars to finish 12th, which left him short of transferring to the preliminary feature as his night came to an early end.

On Saturday night the finale for the $15,000-to-win weekend was held, and Howard saw his outing end with a 12th-place finish in the D-Main.

"There is always next year," Howard commented. "I don’t think I am ready to give up on that track yet. It’s a load of fun to get around. Racing the big event is a mixture of a lot of factors including luck and I just didn’t have it on my side this weekend."
