August 25, 2018 - Mechanical Failure Sidelines Moore at Lexington 104
1Howard Moore suffered a heartbreak on Saturday night during the United Sprint Car Series (USCS) sanctioned contest at Lexington 104 Speedway.

The pilot was of the Dynamic Electric No. 40 Sprinter was fast on the move in the finale in the finale, when he lost power.

"We had an amazing car, and then suddenly something let go in the powerplant," Moore said. "We charged from 10th to second and had absolutel rocket ship, until something let go with four laps remaining. I hate it for my team, and everyone that supports me. We'll take a few weeks off to regroup and come back stronger than ever."

A sixth-to-fifth run in his heat race, positioned Howard 10th on the starting grid for the feature. On the opening lap he went from 10th to third, and soon took over the second spot. Moore was pursuing leader, Derek Hagar, when his engine expired with just four laps remaining.

August 11, 2018 - Howard Moore Battles Bad Luck at King of the Wings
Howard Moore had high hopes heading into Saturday night's King of the Wings event at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi).

Moore would unfortunately see his hopes for a win dashed early in the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Mid-South Region, sanctioned event.

"I started second in the first heat, and we were leading the race from the start, but got taken out on lap six of the eight-lap heat race," Moore said. "We got the car good enough to roll so that we could just start the feature. Basically, the car was junked from the heat race incident. I have to give it to my crew though because they worked hard all night to give me a good car. I definitely had one until I got taken out on lap-6 of the heat race."

Twenty-four entries took part in the event, and Howard was credited with a 22nd-place finish after retiring early from the feature.
